My name is Geraldine, I am a professional make-up artist since 2001. My job is also my passion, I love the creative side of it as well as being part of a professional team, always striving for high quality.
This is my story:
After completing my language studies at the Liceo Cantonale in Locarno, where I am originally from, I realized that I wanted to do something different, so I left home to pursue my interest in make-up… and the city of London, where, while studying and working, I ended up staying for a full 10 years.
At Cavendish College, I learned all about the different types of make-up (beauty, bridal, fashion, stage, tv and photographic make-up, special effects, hair styling, grooming, face painting) and got my make-up artistry diploma in 2001.
After having worked for several photo studios in London for many years, I decided to relocate to Cape Town, South Africa, where, represented by the well-known talent agency One League, I had the opportunity to further broaden my work experiences working alongside many international brands and being part of various photography, film, fashion and TV productions.
My client list includes big names like Nivea, Schwarzkopf, Manor, Geox, Fila, Virgin Mobile, M&M’s, Coca Cola, Mont Blanc, Lindt, In style Magazin, Marie Claire, Woman’s Health Magazine, Germany’s Next Top Model and many more (see client list).
In 2010 I came back to Switzerland and am now based near Locarno. I am a freelance professional, styling brides from all over the world, models on the sets of Milan and international stars on the red carpet at the Locarno Film Festival.
